There are currently discussions at the Swedish Tax Agency about how this shall be controlled, handled and followed. There is at this moment no public information. For more information you can contact Tax Information at (+46)771-567 567 or sfsk.ludvika@skatteverket.se.

Do I have to pay Swedish alcohol tax?
According to earlier EU-decision 2006-11-30 in ”Joustradomen” it was established under which circumstances authorities can charge excise and alcohol taxes. According to this verdict, the excise tax shall be paid in the recipient country if the freight company is based in the same country as the recipient. A juridical interpretation of this verdict is that if our Swedish customers hire a freight company based outside of Sweden, the excise tax shall only be paid in the purchasing country (in this case Spain, where all our sales is accomplished and where the excise tax is already payed) and not again in the recipient country, i.e. Sweden, Denmark or Finland.

Do I need to pay tax for my products?
According to the EU law in the case "Rosengrensmålet", 2007-06-05, Swedish persons who have bought alcohol in another EU-country and had it transported home, shall pay alcohol taxes of the products. If you pick the delivery up yourself in Spain you do not have to pay Swedish alcohol tax. How the tax shall be paid is still unclear since there are no reglementary set for this. Our prices include Spanish VAT. The VAT is always paid in the country where the purchase is accomplished and shall naturally not be paid again in Sweden. This is based on EU laws.
